Custom Type Face
AP1/ Fall 2022
Objective:
Using a material of your choice, craft a custom typeface. Using each letter of the alphabet and 0-9, craft a poster displaying your typeface as well as two applications demonstrating how your typeface can be used.
Notes:
For this project, I started off with the font Vollkorn. After cutting out these materials, I decided to experiment with twine, goldfish crackers, flowers, and cassette tapes to fill out the letters spelling “Handgloves”. I then made a final decision on which material to use and chose the cassette tapes. I edited the letters in Adobe Photoshop and used levels and coloring techniques to get the desired look. Afterward, I created a poster displaying my typeface and a few applications showing how the typeface can be used.
